  • ? BT – Coda begins the slow and meticulous creation of the Aether, the predecessor or “father” to all current worlds.
  • ? BT – Eon, later known as Thash, is sculpted into existence by Coda.
  • 10,000,000 BT – Coda and Eon’s 21 children, the Titans, gradually come into existence. Work on the Aether incrementally slows and then comes to completion. Coda enters a long period of rest.

  • 400,000 BT – Coda and his 7 loyal children are defeated and banished into the void. The remaining Titans destroy the Aether by shattering it into pieces, with the subsequently created worlds comprising Emanation. The Titans colonize these worlds and form their own independent kingdoms. With the death of the Aether, the Before Time ends.

His sons slay him with his own blade, trapping Makrozoia in his ethereal form. They attempt to explain this to the mob of Loyalists who storm the palace. Word spreads like wildfire of the Mad King’s death, and with two legitimate heirs, it becomes unclear who will take his place. As neither brother will relent nor agree to share power, a war of succession – the Kilran War – begins.

  • 4355 – As it becomes clear neither side will be able to secure Xolumir for years and in light of the mounting death toll, Notch and Herobrine agree to a duel for the throne on neutral ground at the summit of Mount Aetomemnon. While Herobrine arrives alone as agreed, Notch brings a squadron of his elite holy warriors. The ensuing battle was a brutal spectacle, and though both brothers were equally matched in celestial blood, Notch prevailed and claimed the Invidere, declaring himself Emperor of Aquila. However, in his dying breath his brother inflicted him with a curse that would gradually destroy the quintessence with his body and ultimately kill him. Though Notch attempts to consolidate the dying Empire, he is unable to sway any of the remaining vassals and, with his death in the empty imperial palace, the Aquilan Empire finally dies.

  • 4712 – Humberto Fletcher, brother of the deceased Colin, is granted a charter to found a settlement under joint-stock rule in southern Aphelion. Informing the natives already there that they were now citizens of Medriaas, the Dreiton Colony was formed, based off the indigenous name.
  • 4715 – The Dreiton Exchange Mandate, a joint stock company, is formed to administer the colony, with Occan investors possessing the largest share. Other nations to buy stock into Dreiton included Kazimir, Valencia, Tolstaag, Bobyrujsk, and Olnek.
  • 4751 – The Followers of the Old Ways establish a presence in Tempus.
  • 4764 – Alamut becomes independent from the Kazimir Empire.
  • 4789 – A series of industrial strikes cripple the Valencian economy for several months, allowing Medriaas to outpace them in world exports.
  • 4802 – Anarchist elements in Valencia rise up and declare the Commune, seizing the citystate’s means of production and operating autonomously for a time.
  • 4803 – The Valencian Commune is crushed by the Knights Thash and its leadership killed or exiled. The Gleaming Road cult form in rural Ertdor and begin raiding settlements for valuables.
  • 4805 – The Followers of the Old Ways begin a ritual to revive Herobrine which is thwarted by a group known as the Outlanders. Their efforts to track down the perpetrators lead them to the Gleaming Road and then to a mysterious figure named Vitiate, a new host body for Makrozoia. He manipulates them into restoring his power and then begins a rampage throughout Aquila declaring that he has returned to rebuild his Empire. With the help of the restored Notch and Herobrine, the Outlanders are able to defeat the Mad King within his pocket dimension under Xolumir.
  • 4806 – The states Tolstaag-Jotenburg and Siluria emerge from the ruined Sivistys.
  • 4807 – The first urban speedrail is completed, connecting all of Valencia through a system of powered aerial rails.
  • 4808 – The Knights Thash return to Aquila, having ostensibly rid Emanation of the remaining gods. Their Commander Triton orders that Aquila be purged of the Old Ways to finish the job, beginning the “Secret Wars” between Triton’s crusader army and several hidden cults. Many of these cults are destroyed by the Knights, save the coven bunkered down in Reunion. Triton learns of an even greater impending threat and makes a pact with Makrozoia’s still-living ethereal form in preparation of its imminent arrival.
  • 4812 – The Outlanders are called upon by King Puffin of Medriaas to help root out the rising undead threat in Occa. They discover Triton’s plot to revive Makrozoia once more and defeat him permanently by dispersing his soul in the Urghast – the outer boundaries of the Nether from which immortal spirits cannot escape. They also learn of the ancient evil he sought to revive the Mad King to defend against – Moros, the father of the gods, bent on returning to Emanation and rebuilding his kingdom, the Aether.
  • 4815 – With the Outlanders missing, Endermen begin arriving in Aquila in droves, absentmindedly tearing out massive parts of the overworld, including small villages and towns, and teleporting away with them to some unknown place. Though not hostile, their systematic destruction of significant parts of the overworld quickly becomes an issue, and attempts to halt them by force result in them entering a deadly frenzy state. Several nations and citystates attempt to pose solutions, but the brightest comes from Clockwork of Valencia, who claims to have invented a radio signal that would drive the alien creatures away.
  • 4816 – Clockwork’s radio tower enrages the Endermen even further, causing them to call for even more reinforcements. However, they are significantly weakened by the radio waves being sent across Aquila, opening them up to eradication by force.
  • 4817 – The Outlanders, passing through several parallel worlds on the way, arrive back in Aquila 5 years into the future to discover the Enderman infestation. Sensing that the signal would only accelerate Aquila’s assimilation, they attempt to destroy Clockwork’s radio tower, but their arrival coincides with that of Moros, whose weakened and disembodied form was drawn across the void to Aquila by the radio signals. With the Ancient Fear’s presence at large attempting to regain physical form, the Outlanders seek the consul of Gamma – the first son of Coda and Eros. He leads them to Coda’s hidden heart in the Nether, guarded by their own hostile shadow forms. Uniting what heroic forces they could, the newly formed Alliance to prevent Aquila’s death gathered at Hesperides for a decisive battle with Moros and his forces. They attempt to give Moros back his heart, hoping it would restore his empathy, but he instead crushes it and commands his armies to destroy them. The Alliance barely survives, and several massive black holes begin to consume Aquila. The Outlanders travel deep into the Rift to Merth Docto, the overworld’s only known entrance to the void, and enter Moros’ domain – an amalgamation of various mismatched bits of land drawn from countless worlds and slapped together. They face Moros alone and are able to withstand his onslaught, as his sundering of the barriers between worlds has caused his powers to weaken – additionally, he had granted his Mark to the Outlanders in secret to make it nigh impossible for celestials to kill them, believing he could use as them as tools, like Triton, to destroy all of his remaining children and thus more easily assimilate the Aether. Nonetheless, they are nearly killed by the daemon-sultan until the trapped Eros herself begs him to relent and stay with her. He agrees, and the Outlanders are sent back to a changed Aquila.
  • 4818 – The “Nova Aquila” project is devised by the Olnek state in southern Kilran, who propose that a new superstate similar to the old Empire but with democratic institutions would be vital for rebuilding Aquila and providing a more peaceful future. Several surrounding cliques agree, but the idea is fiercely rejected by many of the other former imperial states. A new Clockwork takes control of Valencia as part of the greater Sivellan Republic.
  • 4820 – The new provisional government of Occa is established in Albion following the sudden end of Medriaas with the destruction of Providence by the Mad King.

  • 4846 – Tolstaag-Jotenburg is called to arms by Nova Aquila. Trench warfare begins in northern Kilran.
  • 4847 – Siluria invades Tolstaag-Jotenburg from the east, aligning itself with Khotan. Trench warfare continues, as well as airship chemical bombings and surprise aerial infantry landings by personal elytra.
  • 4850 – After several Mandate galleons are sunk by Khotan airships, Dreiton enters the war, followed by its puppet Kazimir. The Immortal Emperor is assassinated through unknown means and a group known as the 28 Premiers seize power.
  • 4851 – The Khotani war effort increases briefly, but the empire loses its ability to sustain the war economy and thus calls for peace. The Xiantung Armistice is signed, ending all hostilities and allowing Khotan to annex parts of the northern Kilranian coast, seen as a bitter betrayal against their sovereignty by the victim states.
  • 4852 – Current year. Notable events thus far:
    • Trade tensions escalate between Nova Aquila and Dreiton due to the entrance of Voshe into the international market by way of rapid industrialization. Experts suggest that current political ties between the two rival but allied nations may be strained.
    • Reports across Aquila indicate that there has been a sharp increase in attacks by occultists, anarchists, separatists, and other urban terrorist groups. 12 Dreitonian citizens are killed by poisoning in New Barsina and the Daguo lighthouse is nearly collapsed by internal explosions, with both incidents bearing the mark of deliberate sabotage

A team of elite airship pilots known as the Orange Olexians are assembled for the daring expedition, which is slated to begin by the first dawn of this year's Highharveste if all goes according to plan. International reactions are mixed, with some congratulating the Silurians for their ingenuity and others calling the mission a fool's errand due to current technological limitations concerning airship travel in severe weather conditions. A battery station and airstrip are constructed at Point Ultima, the northernmost tip of Olexia, in preparation of the flight.
