Early Life (1278 BC - 1260 BC)[]

γιαννάκης, "Son of Poseidon", was born to an unknown slave of Thetis, a supposed "nymph."  She lived in a palace in the country-side near Mycenae (pre-Dorian Sparta).  The same year, Thetis gave birth to an extraordinary child by the name of Ἀχιλλεύς, or Achilles.  He grew up without many possessions.

As he advanced, he became trained in the ways of the warrior.  He became a lieutenant for Achilles' private army, a formidable force of warriors who would tear apart even the toughest of Ἀγαμέμνων's (Agamemnon's) champions.

He was there to witness Πάρις, now known as Paris, son of Troy, enter Mycenae.  He was there to witness the his caravan flee with one more than they had entered with as well.  That morning, Ἑλένη (Helen), was discovered to be missing.  The king called for war against Troy.  It was within the following weeks that our hero, γιαννάκης, changed from boy to warrior.

Trojan Wars (1260 BC - 1240 BC)[]

The soon-to-become hero arrived with his commander at Aulis.  There, he accompanied his commander to an altar set above the sea, along with the other commanders.  He was ordered to step forward to the altar, and perform a sacrifice for the god Apollo.  When the sacrifice was complete, he was left in stupor.  The dead sacrifice had transformed into a snake, and eaten an entire nest of sparrows.  The mother and her nine little ones.
