Sam Darkwalker is the only pirate of TheNextMaster. He was originally made in 2007 in POTCO, shortly after the game was released. He was lost in 2013 after the shutting down of the game. He was recreated in 2016, after the release of the Semi-beta of TLOPO, a remake of POTCO. He is currently the Premier for The Netherlands, which makes him a member of the 9th Brethren Court. He is also a Veteran in the Court's Guild, The Outlanders.

-Sam is mostly described as buff, tough, and tanned. He bears dark brown hair and a full-on beard, with green blueish eyes that gleam with determination. People around him saw the real him; a kind and loving person who would defend those he loved with his life if need be.

He often wears other variants of clothing such as pirate clothing, merchant clothing, and fine garments for the common occasion in politics. He bears several tattoos, including several Chinese tattoos on his left upper arm, a tiki statue on his right upper arm, and a giant anchor on his chest, symbolizing his passion for sailing.

-Sam equipped many weapons for his voyages including pistols, swords, staffs, grenades, voodoo dolls, and daggers. Although a fan of swords, Sam isn't afraid to pull out a blunderbuss to deal heavy damage to his foe, although this is rare. He mainly used The Masterwork Broadsword, with which he killed the giant skeleton known as "General Hex". His favorite pistol is the Duelist Pistol, which he used often to win many duels and battles. Not a general fan of Sabres and Cutlasses, Sam would use these sparingly, and often limited his use of them as much as possible to increase his broadsword efficiency.
-The Masterwork Broadsword was the most ornate out of his sword collection. Engraved and jeweled, it was the ideal match for Sam, and he cherished it as it was his first famed weapon and his best sword to use.
