The Journal[]

The Journal of Ramsey Harrington describes the events and adventures of Ramsey Harrington while exploring CivCraft. The book's location is unknown, however several torn pages have been found and compiled together.

Chapter 1[]

I woke up in an unfamiliar place. I looked around and it looked like a large ditch. I climbed out and looked for any traces of civilization. I wandered for a bit, with no tools or food I would not last long out in the wilderness. No one was there, I gathered some wood, crafted some basic tools and started a campfire for the night. I did not know how long I would be out here.

After a few hours of walking, I stumbled upon a small town. However, it was in complete ruins. No life was present anywhere and none of the houses would provide adequate shelter with the large gaping holes in them.

I continued to explore throughout the ruins looking to find any possible supplies. The town was completely looted. I made it to the other side of the town and discovered that someone had left a message. I had a large speculation that someone were the invaders of this town.

I settled in the ruins of the small town for the night. There was no wild creatures nearby so I would be safe for the night. I drew a map of the area and thought of a plan for the future...

I continued exploring the area, the entire area was devastated. No buildings were left intact, which led me to think that it was attacked during a war. Whoever caused the damage obviously was powerful and well equipped.

The ruins lay everywhere, the citizens living there were given no mercy...

Chapter 2[]

I went out into the wilderness to gather food and water. I then continued on exploring for any active traces of civilization. I found a small house in the forest. Nearby was a cave entrance, most likely a mine. It appeared that whoever lived here intended to make a profit from the resources.

However the house was in poor condition. The mine was also stripped of any ores that could be found with what resources available. I checked the house for any supplies or equipment that would help me in the future. There was none, the chest itself was empty.

I left the area as it would not suffice for living. There were no nearby animals, and the forest had been cut. Saplings would take several days to regrow, time only a civilization could last.

Even if I did stay, how long would I survive?
