Prologue
Jason was born on March 19, 1725, in the little town of Glesenburg. His parents were very proud of their newborn son but their happiness didn't last long. Soon Tia Dalma came to them, warning of the boy's future. Telling them to get rid of him while they still could. They did not want to lose their new baby son but after hearing about his horrible future they put him in an orphanage. The parents left town. Those there swear they could hear an evil laugh far in the distance, and that the sky grew a little darker.
Chapter I
A young boy sat on a hill, watching the ships at the harbor bouncing slightly as the waves lapped against their sides. The boy heard his name called but ignored it. "Jason!" The voice called louder. Suddenly pain filled his ear as he was pulled up by it. "Quit it!" Jason told the woman as she drug him toward a house by his ear "You should have came when I called if you didn't want this to happen." The woman told him coldly. "Well you sounded like one of the sailors. I thought there was another Jason down there." Jason told her. She stopped suddenly and turned around to slap him, "How dare you talk to me like that!" The woman dragged Jason inside as he rubbed his cheek. Pointing at the floor she said, "You were supposed to do this hours ago!" Jason just tuned her out as she continued to talk. When she finished talking he said, "I'll clean it up now." Nodding the woman left the room as Jason began to clean. There was nothing wrong with the room, the woman just didn't want Jason to do what he wanted to do. Of all the people who had taken him in, she was the meanest. She didn't tell Jason her name, she just told him to call her 'Mam' which he didn't. He had been left in an orphanage when he was very young. The only thing he had ever liked in his life were ships, it seemed almost as if they called to him. One day, he finally listened to them. He walked out to the harbor and looked around at everything. Suddenly he noticed a small pudgy boy, who looked to be around his age, walking up to him. "Enjoying the view?" The boy asked.
