As we continue to reform ourselves following the recent boom in activity and "cleaning up" the wiki, the next item to address is our over-usage of the word "gay/gai/ghey/etc" in a derogatory fashion. Everyone is guilty, so nobody is. The admins will have to work to find a line between who's breaking the rules and who isn't, but this isn't the first time. Our decisions are rarely wrong ;).
From Nults's SSC post: "This has been an issue for a while now. In light of "kys", "retarded", "autistic", etc. being banned, I think it's time we take the next step forward and ban "gay" and all variations (gai, ghey, etc.) from being used as insults. Even in a joking manner (ex: "r u gai?"), they shouldn't be used. "Gay" should only be used when explicitly referring to homosexuality. Thanks for considering.
