Any Tips?

This is irrevelant to the wiki, but I wanted to see if anyone had some advice for this since a lot of people on here have good ideas :P. I just had a nosebleed and it was a pretty bad one. There wasn't anything with me to stop it when it happened, just paper towels. I know there are certain things to stop a nosebleed, like some sort of padding, but if you don't really have anything on hand, what's a good way to stop a nosebleed? I've had my nose cauterized before and am probably going to have it done again, but in the meantime I need to be able to end it quickly since it was pretty bad this time.
